All kidding aside, we want to thank Dyn for the opportunity to compete in their 2014 T-Shirt design contest for the Austin, TX SXSW (South By Southwest). We also want to acknowledge all of the other designers who've entered submissions as well. There's a lot of great designs being submitted, and it's going to be a tough competition.
When we first heard about the contest, the first question that came to mind, was what kind of images would best illustrate a "Music Meets Tech" theme? Well, who doesn't like Rockin' Robots! Our Executive Art Director, Carlos Arriaga started going to town, and working his magic. The images below show his design process and how each step was custom created from pencil to illustration.
